Greetings! I'm Sam Wakefield, though many know me as 'SWAKES'. I'm a passionate tech enthusiast with a knack for tinkering with just about everything, from networking and electronics to web design and all the little bits in between.
Over the past decade, I've built a career in the IT industry with a particular focus on Cyber Security, working to protect systems, analyze threats, and strengthen networks against cyber attacks. My passion for technology, however, began long before this. For many years prior to my IT career, I was intrigued by anything electrical that featured an LED.
Outside of work, I'm dedicated to two main pursuits: diving deep into home automation projects using 'Home Assistant' and/or constantly expanding my ever-growing home lab.
